The Mix Match Lamp is an illuminated plexi-glass cube with a top that opens to allow for different laser cut patterns and transparencies to be placed inside. When the inserts are in place, they overlap to create silly and unexpected images. This first model, Self-Portrait, comes with transparencies of the Ground Up member’s faces and a variety of coifs and facial hairinserts that can be mixed and match. The second and most recent addition to the series is based on CMYK sihouttes that create different animals depending on the colors combined. Playing with the ideas of solid and void, light and shadow, this lamp is fun and highly customizable.
